Eye examination and Vision tests are two different things.

Vision tests are performed to check how well you can see and read. It will also determine if you need to correct your vision with the use of spectacles. Your eye doctor will prescribe glasses for you if they are required. While choosing your spectacle frame, remember to choose one that is sturdy rather than cheap. Also, remember that it should fit snugly rather than being loose or tight. Since your vision depends on them, choose glasses with care as well. It is advisable to invest in a good pair of glasses and spectacles and if you are from Pune, there are many reputed and trustworthy optical shops in the city for you to choose from.

Vision tests do not check the general health of your eyes including your peripheral vision, depth perception, colour perception or ability to perceive contrast. It is therefore recommended to perform a complete Eye Examination from a qualified eye specialist once a year.
